HOMEWARD BOUND: THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY is a 1993 remake of the 1962 Disney kiddie classic. It’s cute, neatly shot and all ends well by the time minute-84 fades. This time, instead of simple narration, the three animal heroes (American bulldog, Himalayan cat, Golden retriever) have ‘dialogue’, spoken by Michael J. Fox, Sally Field and Don Ameche.  A sizable hit, making $42,000,000, prodding a sequel three years later. Pleasant time twiddler was directed by Duwayne Dunham.
